After meeting your Contiki team here at Jackson Hole, you’ll take a drive to the first national park on our list… Here in Grand Teton, our first stop will be the majestic mountain range – checking out wildlife, pristine lakes, and spectacular mountain peaks. Keep your camera close too, because today you’ll get to snap true geographical wonders like Oxbow Bend, Jackson Lake Dam & Jenny Lake. Today we're headed from Jackson Hole towards somewhere that might even be more spectacular (bold claim, but we back it). Welcome to the world’s first National Park: a majestic mountain wilderness, home to grizzly bears, buffalo and wolves too – as well as canyons, glaciers, waterfalls and volcanoes. Here we’ll check out iconic landmarks like Old Faithful and the Grand Prismatic Hot Spring. Next up, you’ll come face to face with some wildlife on a visit to the Yellowstone Grizzly Bear and Wolf Discovery Center. After a full day of oh-so-wholesome National Parks, we'll head back to our accommodation for the night. Didn't see everything you wanted? No sweat – we'll be back again in the morning.
